Skype users – Check out Sightspeed.com for Video chat
For anyone here in China who uses Skype to chat with family and friends in your home country, you may want to check out Sightspeed.com.
Like Skype, you can get a free or pro account. But for the most part, you can do everything you need with a free account. If you did however want to try the pro account, there is a 30 day free trial for skype users.
The pro account has a neat record feature which would be very cool for anyone who wants to make a video podcast.
With regards to the China Blogosphere, I’m surprised that no one has started using the Pamela Skype recorder to make a neato radio show yet.
I’d love to give it a try.
Maybe if my schedule clears up…
Hey, your font colours are horrible. I cant read anything without highlighting it first!!!!!!!
You should prolly fix that eh?
what browser are you using?
Have you tried the pro plan with the multiple party (up to 4) video calls? How is the service from here in China to the States?
Thanks.
Re: Radio show… I’m on it – wanna help?
I just wanted to post a follow up on this software. After using it several times with other people for the video conferencing, I have found that it works great, and it has replaced our Skype setup that we were using. This is a great piece of software that even runs great in Vista 64bit. Thanks for this and I’ll see ya around.
Hi, I read your article, it’s really beneficial for me as I have my business customers in China. I’ll definitely try it out.
I heard a lot about video conferencing going around these days. Back then 1999 I never thought I will ever see this innovation which I only seen it first in Jetsons and Star Trek.
Instead of spending money on business trips it’s better to invest money on purchasing best and reliable video conferencing equipment for live meetings.
