Just a quick update for you guys. Me and Rika took off from Dalian Friday morning. I’m somewhere over Halifax right now, so don’t even ask me how long ago that was. I think it was about 24 hours ago, though the international date line has me all fracked up as always…
China Airlines was typical. The plane smelled like burning oil on take off, and when in landed in Tokyo it hit the runway like a shotput. As soon as we hit Tokyo airport, I was taken aback every time I had to queue for something, as there’s always an attendant who’ll walk down the line and see how you’re doing. Brilliant. I still have a bag full o’ bagels from Narita airport which my brothers will likely inhale as soon as I see them at the airport. F@ck. Japan is awesome.
Newark airport looked cool, but we had no time fo’ nuthin’. They had a Miller beer place, and a Sam Adams place – and I was dying for a beer after the Tokyo-New York flight. But I had to content myself with multiple vodka-tonic & limes on the NY – St.John’s flight. I swear ta gawd this jet is so damn tiny. I can stretch my arms out and nearly touch both sides of it. 3 seats plus an alley wide. Damn tiny.
Update: Home now. Relaxing with the old dog. This is Missy. Some 10+ years old.
